Marcello arrived in the United States in 1966 and grew up in the Bronx, where he honed his skills on Allerton Avenue. Inspired by his visits to local salons, he realized, “This is what I want to do.”

In the early days, Marcello seized the opportunity to open his own salon in a brand-new strip mall. At the time, his was the first and only store in what was then an undeveloped area. Today, the once-quiet shopping center has transformed into a thriving commercial hub, and Marcello’s Hair Secrets remains a cherished institution, celebrated for its longevity, warm family atmosphere, and unwavering commitment to its clients.
